Place elements on a canvas that is true to the size of the stock you print on, then check the one-bit preview — the same monochrome at the same dot pitch the printer works in, so you can tell whether small text will still be readable on the label. Every save keeps a version you can load back.
Elements read from the product itself — title, price, SKU, barcode, and the allergen and dietary fields Shopify already provides. Change a price in admin and the next label carries it. There is no second catalog to keep in step by hand.

Label Genie is a Shopify app for designing product labels and printing them from Shopify admin. A label is laid out once on a true-to-size canvas, its elements are bound to live product data, and it can then be printed to a thermal label printer or downloaded as a print-ready PDF.
Label Genie prints to Zebra and other thermal label printers that understand ZPL, using PrintNode — a small helper application installed on the computer the printer is attached to. Any other printer is served by the PDF path instead, including ordinary office laser and inkjet printers.

Yes. Label Genie imposes a design onto full sheets of adhesive labels for an ordinary printer, laying each label out at the sheet's own spacing. For a part-used sheet, choose the position to start printing from and the labels already peeled off are skipped rather than wasted.
Yes. Label Genie reads the allergen and dietary fields built into Shopify's product taxonomy, along with a store's own ingredients field, and places them on the label as ordinary elements. Because they are bound rather than typed, correcting an allergen on the product corrects it on every label that follows.
A price-embedded barcode carries an item's price and item number inside the barcode digits themselves, so a register rings up the exact total for a variable-weight item such as meat, cheese, or fish without anyone keying a number. Label Genie encodes them to a store's own digit convention, in UPC-A or EAN-13. Ordinary product barcodes are supported too, as Code 128 or a QR code.
Label Genie is for Shopify merchants who put a printed label on the product itself: food producers and packers, delis and bakeries, coffee roasters, cosmetics and candle makers, breweries, and any retailer printing shelf, price, or barcode labels for their own stock.
Label Genie and Barcode Genie are two Shopify apps by the same developer that cover one loop: Label Genie designs and prints the label, and Barcode Genie decodes a price-embedded barcode at the register so it rings up the right total. Each works on its own, and Label Genie does not require Barcode Genie.
